HOLY BIBLE OLD TESTAMENT

ISAIAH
64:8 But now, O LORD, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and all we are the work of Your hand.
55:10 For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,

GENESIS
1:16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.
 Psalm 139
GOD'S PERFECT KNOWLEDGE OF MAN
FOR THE CHIEF MUSICIAN. A PSALM OF DAVID.
1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
3 You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.
5 You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.
7 Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall[a] on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;
12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;[b]
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
24 And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.
 JOB 28
Job's Discourse on Wisdom
‘Surely there is a mine for silver,
and a place for gold to be refined.
2 Iron is taken out of the earth,
and copper is smelted from ore.
3 Man puts an end to darkness,
and searches every recess for ore in the darkness and the shadow of death.
4 He breaks open a shaft away from people; in places forgotten by feet they hang far away from men; they swing to and fro.
5 As for the earth, from it comes bread;
but underneath it is turned up as by fire.
6 Its stones are the source of sapphires,*
and it contains gold dust.
7 ‘That path no bird knows,
nor has the falcon’s eye seen it.
8 The proud lions have not trodden it;
nor has the fierce lion passed over it.
9 ‘He puts his hand on the flint;
he overturns the mountains at the roots.
10 He cuts out channels in the rocks,
and his eye sees every precious thing.
11 He dams up the streams from trickling;
what is hidden he brings forth to light.
12 ‘But where can wisdom be found?
And where is the place of understanding?
13 Man does not know its value, nor is it found in the land of the living.
14 The deep says, “It is not in me”,
and the sea says, “It is not with me.”
15 It cannot be purchased for gold,
nor can silver be weighed for its price.
16 It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir,
in precious onyx or sapphire.
17Neither gold nor crystal can equal it, nor can it be exchanged for jewelry of fine gold.
18 No mention shall be made of coral or quartz,
for the price of wisdom is above rubies.
19 The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it,
nor can it be valued in pure gold.
20 From Where then does wisdom come ?
And where is the place of understanding?
21 It is hidden from the eyes of all living,
and concealed from the birds of the air.
