The culmination of his spiritual sadhanas was reached when Sri Ramakrishna worshipped his own wedded wife, Sri Sarada Devi, as the manifestation of the Divine Mother, on 5 June 1872, on the Phalaharini Amavasya night. This is well known as the Shodashi Puja. During the worship, the worshipper and the worshipped both lost all external consciousness, and were united as one in spiritual consciousness on a transcendental plane. At the conclusion of the worship, Sri Ramakrishna offered, at the feet of the deity in front of him, all the fruits of his sadhanas. Symbolic of this act was his offering of his own rosary at her feet and prostating himself before her, uttering the prayer of salutation to the Divine Mother.
Holy Mother said to a desparate woman devotee: 'Why should you be afraid? You have seen the Master. What should frighten you?' Then she added very slowly:'Let me tell you something. My child. If you want peace, then do not look into anybody's faults. Look into your own faults. Learn to make the world your own. No one is stanger, my child; the whole world is your own.' This was Holy Mother's last message to suffering humanity.
